Unite to End Childhood Cancer
At Linden, New Jersey-based Turtle & Hughes, teams of employees and their families are sponsoring raffles, participating in charity sporting events, hosting bake sales, and more to surpass the company’s $10,000 corporate commitment as a Copper Level National Team for the St. Jude Walk/Run to End Childhood Cancer.
At the time of this writing, 17 teams are participating in local walk/run events, which took place in September in cities nationwide, and more than $9,400 has been raised.

Back to Its Communities
Employees of Independent Electric Supply, headquartered in Somerville, Mass., celebrated the company’s 25th anniversary in business by holding
their First Annual Food Drive in support of a local food pantry in Somerville, the Elizabeth Peabody House, and New Horizons Food Bank in Manchester, N.H. Together, during the month of July, the com- pany’s five branches raised more than $1,000 in cash donations and donated more than 200 lbs. of non- perishable food to the pantries.
Mercor Lighting and Hubbell
Lighting Help Conquer Cancer
In September, Mercor Lighting and Hubbell Lighting walked to benefit the Princess Margaret Cancer Center in Toronto. The team raised more than $13,000 to benefit the facility, which is one of the top 10 cancer hos- pitals in the world. In addition, volunteers from Hub- bell Lighting supported Greenville (S.C.) County schools’ “Eclipse Fest” in August, setting up five hands-on engagement displays to showcase the science behind the eclipse.
